The prices were fair, about what you would expect. The drink menu left quite a bit to be desired. No Mojito, no Cosmos, no martini's; not up to par. I ordered meal that came with a salad. Evidently dressing is not an option. My entre was hospital bland. There was not a salt and pepper shaker on the table and I had to request them. Salt and pepper really didn't help salvage it. My wife ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was over cooked. The edges of the chicken were burnt and what wasn't charred was dry. Go for the esthetics and beer but eat somewhere else first. ambiance good / food terrible

Kansas City has a great downtown and restaurants, the people are nice, but the city lacks the size to support the many different neighborhoods that St. Louis enjoys. I also enjoy hiking, camping and biking, which St. Louis has lots more access to. I'd be happy in either city, but I think St. Louis has a slight edge in my book. I lived in Kansas City for five years and loved it, but have to admit there are things I really like about both cities that make a decision on which is “best” difficult. My boyfriend had a rip in the knee of his jeans and that was the only problem. The man approached him and told him he couldn't enter. I asked him why, because the sign said, EXCESSIVELY RIPPED clothing. He just shrugged. I asked him, "what if I was wearing jeans with a rip at the knee?" He grinned and said as a woman he wouldn't care. I said, "so I can pretty much come in here with my ass hanging out?" And he shrugged and replied, "pretty much." I know as a woman I shouldn't yell about anything regarding sexism against men, but come on! I have been to P&L so many time in short dresses to go dancing and none of my female friends or myself never experience anything but getting flirted with by the guards. Is a skanky dress pose more of a threat than a man with a ripped knee in his jeans? Think about it...drunk men plus girl in shirt dress could equal trouble. What trouble does a rip only in your knee cause? There are paid women at Tango sed who dance in bikinis and that is more appropriate? Give me a break.
